There are a couple things you can do to eliminate the gap you have between your F-250 and the fifth wheel trailer. If you have a lift kit on the truck you can remove it.

The second option would be to remove your fifth wheel hitch and rails and replace it with a fifth wheel hitch like the Demco Hijacker SL Series Flat Deck 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch, part # DM6076SL-FLAT. The hitch height when installed is 10 inches. Since you cannot use a slider with the Sidewinder you will need to lock the fifth wheel hitch in the towing position so there is less stress.

You would also need the installation kit for the Demco hitch. That is part # DM8553000-12.
