I need to purchase 1-1/4 extender what would be the best lock to use on the extender in place of the clip?

The hitch pin lock I recommend is our etrailer.com Receiver Lock, part # e98879. This lock has a 2 inch span and is designed to fit 1-1/4 inch receivers. This lock is chrome plated and includes a covered key slot to keep moisture and dirt out.
We offer a couple hitch extenders for a 1-1/4 inch trailer hitch. They are part # HES6 which extends the hitch 6 inches from center to center of the hitch pin holes. The other extender is part # HES0. This is a 10-inch extender. I have attached a photo of both of these extenders with the dimensions noted you can check out.
Using an extension or adapter in your trailer hitch does reduce the towing capacity and the tongue weight capacity by 50 percent.
