How To Install Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit On 2015 Cadillac SRX

I am going to install Roadmaster 154 to my 2015 Cadillac SRX. Your instructions/video say to install the diode in the brake light circuit but I was thinking that it may be better to use the turn signal instead. The SRX has separate brake and turn lights and both are RED. Doing this would allow the motorhome indicators to be visible when the car brake lights are turned on by the brake unit. I know you can add the relay that would stop the brake lights working if the ignition is off but my Even Brake unit needs that brake signal to work. Am I missing something that would stop this working?

There should be 4 diodes included with the # RM-154 wiring kit you received.

I have attached a couple drawings that show how the diodes should be installed for a towed vehicle with separate wiring(turn signal and brake signal use different wires). You would put a diode on both wires on your SRX.

If you have separate wiring on the motorhome as well as your towed vehicle then you will need 2 additional diodes like part # RM-792. If you check out the attached drawings you will see that jumpers will be needed to complete the wiring.
