Recommended Kayak Carrier for Ocean Nalu 11 Kayak on 2016 Honda Pilot

I have an Ocean Kayak Nalu that I need to transport with my 2016 Honda Pilot. I want it to be horizontal not vertical so what do you recommend for the easiest and most secure roof rack? Thank you!

An Ocean Nalu 11 weighs 44-lbs and measures 11-feet x 31-inches. If you prefer a kayak carrier that will allow this boat to stay flat on the roof, rather than be angled on its side like with J-style carriers such as the Rhino-Rack # S512, then I suggest the Thule Hullavator # TH898 which offers a load-assist feature.

This carrier fits most factory installed roof rack bars, all aftermarket racks from Thule and round bar racks from Yakima so long as their bar spread is at least 24-inches.

Simply click on the type of roof set-up you have (bare roof or front-to-back flush rails) to then see compatible roof rack systems.
