Installation of Hopkins 4-Pole/5-Pole Trailer Adapter 47515 on 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport

Hi, Can you please confirm which colour wire I should connect the adaptor to on the tail light assembly of a 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport? I am not sure which colour wire corresponds to the reverse light vs the ground. Thank you!

Auto makers don't always use the same wire colors in vehicle production, so color alone is not a reliable method to determine what signal a specific wire is carrying. The surest way to know is to use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to test the wires at the taillight while a competent helper carefully shifts the vehicle into reverse (with the parking brake on for safety).
