Recommended Replacement Fog Lights for a Brighter Light on a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado

Hello I have a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 with the round fog lights they seem to be very inefficient the original parts I would like to upgrade my fog lights tour I can see much better but I have been told that just changing the blubs Will cause code errors in the computer system and on the OnStar system I would like to know how do you get around all the stuff Some people told me that you have to re-flash the computer can you help Id like to have something bright somewhere in the range of 5000 so I like the white light Thanks

We do have Putco replacement fog lights for your 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 3500. The Optic 360 High Power LED # P250001W in White.

The Optic LED # P250001W are 30 watts at 12V and 1200LM. I spoke with my contact at Putco and he ensured me that the LED will be the brighter light and no require any resistors or the computer to be re-flashed to use them.

I did some research on this for you and found that in your owners manual it states that if the EPM (Electrical Power Management) shows that there is an excessive battery power load it will trigger a DIC (Driver Information Center) message to reduce the high electrical load to not damage the battery. For example: A high electrical load occurs when several of the following are on, such as: headlamps, high beams, fog lamps, rear window defogger, climate control fan at high speed, heated seats, engine cooling fans, trailer loads, and loads plugged into accessory power outlets. If so, a DIC message might be displayed and it is recommended that the driver reduce the electrical loads as much as possible.

I was unable to find any indication that replacing the fog lights would cause error codes in the computer or OnStar system. To be sure, I would recommend you call your local dealer to find out.
