Why is 91 or Higher Octane Fuel Required for the High Performance Setting on Edge Programmers

When using the Edge Gas Evolution CTS3 Performance Tuner - Color Screen # EP59YR, you will need to use specific octane levels depending on which setting you are using because the ignition timing is increased, and the higher-octane fuel ignites more quickly than lower octane fuel. That quicker ignition is what the high-performance setting requires to function properly. I have included a link to the installation details for the programmer below.
