Comparing Hollywood Racks HR100R & Swagman XC S64650EX Hitch Bike Racks
Question:
I have a 2014 Toyota Sienna van and want to transport a Giant Revive recumbent bike and a Sun step through bike. Will either of the two racks Hollywood HR100R or Swagman XC work for this situation? Are there any major differences between the two racks?

The main practical differences between the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider 2 # HR1000Z-R and the Swagman XC-Extended Platform Rack # S64650-EXT are the maximum bike wheelbase that will fit (74-inches for the Sport Rider versus 66-inches) and the bike weight capacity (45-lbs for the Sport Rider 2 versus only 35-lbs for the Swagman). Another feature that favors the Sport Rider 2 is the 5-inches of rise on the rack's shank; this means better ground clearance with less chance of the rack scraping on a driveway entrance, for example.
All things considered the Sport Rider wins the face-off, even at its slightly higher price. You can add lock kit # HRLHPTC if you like to lock both the rack itself and your loaded bikes.
