Why Does Brake Controller Stay On After Vehicle is Turned Off
Question:
I attached the white wire on the lower right of the steering column to a bolt on the inside of a flip cover. However, the light on the voyager does not go off, so Im assuming that this is a positive not a negative. I have no idea where or how to ground this wire. I cannot find any info in the manual nor in the flyer - too vague for me. I hope this is free info.

What you are experiencing is normal and you did install the part # 3040-P correctly. The white wire is a ground also.
The controllers are designed to stay on after the vehicle is turned off for several minutes. If you leave the truck untouched for several minutes the controller will go into sleep mode. Also, the light draws such a small amount of power that it would take months for it to drain a vehicle battery.
