Wheel Lug Nut Torque Recommendations for 1/2-Inch Stud and 12-Inch Aluminum Wheel

Question:

I purchased the A35RS545E complete suspension with brake hubs for wheels with 5 on 4.5 centers last fall for my small compact trailer woodie home built. I have the suspension mounted on the base trailer frame and everything went smoothly over this last winter, even flipping the trailer base frame back over upright in the confines of my small garage in the dead of winter!. My question concerns what should I be torqueing the wheel lug nuts to with the brake hubs provided. I am using your Karrier ST145R12 load range E tiers mounted on the Aluminum wheels, your part number AM31215. If you could give me the correct torque values it would be appreciated. Thank you so much E-Trailer!

Torque specs for wheel lug nuts vary depending on several factors like stud size, wheel size and wheel material. The linked image provides a listing of commonly recommended torque values.

The studs on your hubs # A35RS545E are 1/2-inch diameter and since your wheels # AM31215 are aluminum, you'll use a torque range of 75-85-ft-lbs.

We offer torque wrenches like # ALL944001 if you need one.
