Can Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Brake Controller Install in Same Dash Location as Factory Brake Controller

Will the p-3 fit in the same hole as the factory controller or need to be dash mounted?

The Tekonsha Prodigy P3, part # 90195 isn't meant to install into the dash like the OEM brake controller did. I've seen folks mount them in dash mounted coin trays or in storage cubbies in the center console, but I don't have any specific advice on an installation like that. The controller is typically mounted to the underside of the dash.

As long as the controller is mounted so it's parallel to the direction of travel, and level on a side to side plane and within easy reach of the driver, you can install the controller pretty much anywhere you wish.

You'll need the # 3065-P brake controller wiring adapter to install the P3 into your 2006 Ford F250/350.
