Brake Controller and Install Kit Recommendation for 2016 Subaru Outback Wagon with 7-Way
Question:
I have a 2016 Subaru outback. I have a hitch, a 4-wire wiring adapter and a 7-pole connector. I will be towing a ~1,500lb tear trailer. I need a brake controller and a wiring kit for the controller. What controller would you recommend for this application and do you sell a wiring kit without the connector? not the ETBC7 thanks!

Since you already have a 7-way on your 2016 Subaru Outback wagon the correct brake controller install kit you would need is the part # C51500 as it is basically the ETBC7 without the 7-way.
This comes with the wiring for the controller to power it and connect it to the 7-way.
For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup. This is a proportional brake controller that senses the amount of braking the tow vehicle is applying and applies a proportionate amount to the trailer brakes.
