Will the Curt Gooseneck Hitch Provide Adequate Clearance on 2008 Titan Crew Cab with 5-1/2 Foot Bed
Question:
Once installed will I have enough clearance to safely pull a gooseneck horse trailer? Trailer weight is 2600 empty and 6080 maximum loaded.

I recommend using the Curt offset ball, part # C602, with the Curt goosneck hitch, part # C620-664, since you have a 5-1/2 foot bed. This will give you an additional 4 inches of clearance and the Curt hitch is the only one we carry for your 2008 Nissan Titan.
To best determine if your horse trailer will have enough clearance with or without it, I recommend taking a few measurements and using our clearance formula.
The formula:
(A + B) - C = Clearance
A = Distance from the fifth wheel jaw/gooseneck ball center to the truck cab
B = Offset used, in your case you could calculate both with and without the adapter referenced
C = Width of the nose of the trailer divided by 2.
At least 4 inches of clearance is recommended to safely execute a 90 degree turn.
I have linked the installation instructions for the B&W gooseneck for your convenience.
