2-Bike Trunk Mount Bike Rack that Doesnt Use Top Hooks for a 1998 Subaru Forester
Question:
Hello. I have a 1998 forrester and am looking for an inexpensive 2 bike rack. I previously bought an allen 102db, but the clips dont fit onto the top of my hatchback. it is a 5 speed if that matters. Thanks so much.

All trunk mount bike racks will have those hooks but I have a solution for you so you won't have to use them. You can use the Saris Bones, # SA805BL, and replace the top straps with hatch Huggers # SA3035. You would feed the Hatch Hugger strap ends from inside the vehicle, up through the gap between the hatch and roof on your 1998 Subaru Forester, and attach it to the rack. Piece of cake!
