Will the Weight Capacity of the etrailer Cargo Carrier Allow for Carrying 150cc Powermax Scooter

Question:

Will my 150cc Powermax Scooter fit on this carrier? Ive read many reviews and know I want this item but I cannot find where anyone used it for a 250lb scooter. Thank you!

As far as weight capacity is concerned, the 24x60 etrailer Cargo Carrier for 2 Inch Hitches # e98874 will accommodate the 250 pounds of your 150cc Powermax scooter. The # e98874 cargo carrier has a 500 pound weight capacity.

You will want to ensure that the weight of the cargo carrier and scooter do not exceed the tongue weight capacity of your trailer hitch and vehicle. The carrier weights 70 pounds alone. Added to the 250 pounds of the scooter, your trailer hitch and vehicle will need to have at least a 320 pound tongue weight capacity. Your vehicle's trailer hitch will also need to have a 2 inch receiver in order to install the # e98874 carrier.

To be sure the scooter will fit on the carrier, you will want to take a couple of measurements on the scooter. The # e98874 carrier has inside dimensions of 60" wide x 24" deep x 5-1/2" tall. As long as the scooter will fit inside these dimensions, it will fit on the # e98874 carrier.

One thing to consider is the difficulty in loading and unloading a scooter that weights a couple hundred pounds from the etrailer Cargo Carrier. To make loading and unloading easier, I recommend using a cargo carrier with a ramp, like the Flint Hill Goods 30" x 50" Wheelchair Carrier w/ 48" Ramp - 2" Hitch # FHG77ZR. This carrier has inside dimensions of 48 inches long x 28 inches wide x 5 inches tall, and it features a 48" ramp.

I have attached review videos for both of these cargo carriers for you. If the dimensions of neither cargo carrier work for you, you can let me know the measurements of your scooter and what vehicle you will be carrying the scooter on and I will be happy to make a more tailored recommendation.
