Fifth Wheel Hitch and Rail Kit for 2010 Toyota Tundra Towing Trailer with Sidewinder

Question:

Im purchasing a 2016 Keystone Cougar 244 RLS 5th wheel trailer for my 2010 Toyota Tundra Limited with 6 1/2 foot bed. I was considering the Reese Sidewinder. What one should I purchase and what extra parts do I need?

Sidewinders are pin box specific so you will first need to know what pin box you have now in order to pick out the correct one.

There should be a sticker or a stamping on the OEM pin box of the trailer that will list the pin box number that is on the trailer.

Once you figure out which pin box you have you can check the FAQ I attached that has a chart that shows the correct Sidewinder to get based on which pin box you have.

I wish the pin box of a trailer was something that could be looked up online, but at this time there is no way to know without looking at the trailer.

You will then want to use a stationary hitch like the Reese # RP30047 which has a great jaw design for minimal king pin movement. For a rail kit you will want a custom install kit like the part # RP50084-58 which has been confirmed as a fit. This will minimize drilling and install time as well.
