Will Reese 5th Airborne Sidewinder Clear Tailgate of 2016 Ford F-150, 5-1/2 Foot Bed

I plan on purchasing a 2016 f150 SUPER CREW 4x4 with 51/2 foot bed.I have a 2013 cougar 28rdb x-lite 5th wheel with max turn.If I install a reese airborne sidewinder hitch ,will it work and will it stay clear of my tailgate?

The Reese 5th Airborne Premium 5th Wheel Air Ride King Pin with Sidwinder and Rotating Turret # RP61422 that you referenced is a great choice to replace your existing Lippert 1621 pin box. This cushioned pin box will help cushion and absorb shock. I have attached an installation video of this pin box for you.
The 5th wheel hitch coupler will sit approximately 43 inches in front of your tailgate. The Reese 5th Airborne Sidewinder measures 29 inches from the center of the king pin to the back of the pin box, leaving you with approximately 14 inches between the back of the Sidewinder and your truck bed tailgate.
