Does the Cushioning of the Convert a Ball # AMSC12 Allow Much Movement In and Out
Question:
Hello. How much does the hitch ball mount move. I am limited to a 5inch long receiver tube mounted behind the gas tank. I dont want the hitch to hit the tank.

Sounds like you are asking how much movement the built in cushion of the Convert a Ball # AMSC12 allows when installed.
It really doesn't move much at all. There would be a little bit of movement but for the most part it would not be sliding in and out of the hitch opening at all. The reason for this is that the tongue weight of the trailer pressed hard enough vertically on the ball mount that it pins the ball mount in the hitch.
