Troubleshooting Trailer Brakes that Pull to Right When Braking

Question:

I have a 2013 F350 used for towing a 30 camper. The truck tracks straight when alone but pulls to the right when braking while towing. I tried using just the trailer brake controller and it doesnt pull to the right. I pulled both right wheels on the trailer and cleaned then and re adjusted the brakes,. There was a little grease on one of the magnets which I cleaned thoroughly. I am also using a reese equalizer hitch. Thank You

Was the grease on the left brake magnet? Any time a trailer pulls to one side it's typically the brakes applying on the one side harder than the other. Grease in a hub will cause this occurrence as well.

Check to make sure you hear an audible noise on both brake assemblies when you apply the manual override lever of the brake controller too. If not, then check to make sure the wiring to each assembly is good and the ground is connected to a clean metal surface as well.
