I have a solution for you, but the # CM11300 mirrors you referenced will not fit over the chrome finish on your 2008 Toyota Tundra. The CIPA Custom Towing Mirrors # CM11300 for the 2008 Tundra are designed to custom fit over the factory mirror.
My contact at CIPA confirmed that if the chrome mirror finish is an overlay or cap placed on the outside of the factory mirror, then the added thickness of the overlay will prevent the # CM11300 mirros from fitting. It sounds like this is the type of chrome finish on your mirrors, so the CIPA custom mirrors will not fit on your Tundra's mirrors.
Since the custom mirrors will not work for you, a universal fit towing mirror is a great option. I really like the K-Source Universal Towing Mirror, Clip-On # KS3891. This mirror will secure to your Tundra's side mirrors between the mirror and mirror housing. The ratchet straps provide a snug, secure connection for the towing mirror, which helps reduce mirror vibration. The # KS3891 is designed to fit most mirrors from 4-1/2 to 11-1/2 inches tall. One mirror is included in part # KS3891, so you will want to order 2 if you'd like a set of mirrors.
I have attached a review video of this mirror on a similar Tundra for you.
