Pro Series cargo carrier with ramp # PS10401-10402 measures 12 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the nearest part of the carrier. I am confident there will not be any interference with the back of your 2016 Chevy Traverse.
But you can measure to be sure. You would measure from the center of the hitch pin hole on the factory hitch straight back to the end of the vehicle (usually the rear bumper sticks out the most). If that distance is less than 12 inches the carrier will clear the rear of the vehicle and will fit.
