Do Horse Trailer Interior Lights Require a Fuse be Installed on the Circuit

Question:

I want to install a few LED dome lights to the tack room in my horse trailer. It is not currently hooked up with any. I have ran a new power wire coming from the truck, through the trailer RV plug, but dont know if I am supposed to install an inline fuse? Can you tell me how to properly set up this wiring or send me a wiring diagram? Thanks

For an interior light on a horse trailer most would not install a fuse on the trailer side. The circuits are already protected by fuses on the vehicle side so it would be a bit redundant. If you have the 12 volt power ran to the trailer and ready to be wired to a light you are on the right track and would just need to install and wire a new set of lights.

The most popular option we have that would work well is the part # RVILL34. This uses LEDs for illumination so it doesn't draw hardly any amperage, won't put off heat, and will last a long time.
