Operating Instructions When Raising My 2000 Ford Excursion with AirLift Rear Air Bags Installed

Question:

I have a 2000 ford excursion 2wd. When installing the rear air bags the instructions tell you to lift the rear axle to weighted height. I had to jack up the rear end about 3 to 4 inches. When I pull the jack out the rear end is going to stretch the new bags. Is this normal or do I need to buy spacers. Every time I put the truck on a lift their gonna strech. Thanks

AirLift has said that in temporary situations like raising and lowering of the vehicle on the lift, that the rear axle will be okay to stretch the bags. Once in position to work on the truck the rear axle should be supported and not hanging for an extended period of time.

I was able to find a faq from the instructions about this for you to check out, I've linked it to the page for your convenience.
