Could the Hopkins Endurance 5-Way Flat Trailer Connector # HM47910 be Used for a Reverse Lockout
Question:
I have surge brakes on my trailer will this wiring work . i do have a lock out solenoid which keeps the brakes from applying in reverse. I watched the little vid on this and it said it works on electric brakes just want to know if it will work on the surge brake system as well.

The fifth circuit on the Hopkins Endurance 5-Way Flat Trailer Connector # HM47910 that you referenced can be ran to a reverse lockout solenoid like what you have on your trailer. You mentioned a video where this was used for a brake output circuit, but the more common use of a 5-way is for the solenoid like what you have.
The install video I attached shows it being used for a reverse solenoid.
