Trailer Tire Replacement Recommendation for 2011 Forest River RPOD 177
Question:
I currently have Power King Towmax ST205/75R14s and they need to be replaced. They are C rated and on a single axle. Our trailer weighs 2437 LBS dry and has a CCC of 1308 LBS. This puts us at 3,545 LBS. The Towmax tires are rated for 1,760 LBS giving us a total of 3,520 LBS. I would like to know if Kenda Karrier Loadstar ST205/75R14s will fit. The outside diameter of the original tires are 26.14 in and sidewall width is 7.7 inches. The Kenda has a sidewall width of 8.1 inches. I dont know what the outside diameter is. Forest River is absolutely worthless and unknowing in almost all things related to their trailers . Can you help me out?

The tire I would use if it were my trailer would be the part # TR20514 that you referenced. It is the same size as what you have on your trailer now so you know it would fit easily, has a capacity of 1,760 lbs at 50 psi and has a higher speed rating of 81 mph when compared to the most trailer tires that are only rated for up to 65 mph. The reason I recommended this tire over the AM10235 is the higher speed rating.
This will be the exact same size as what you have. If you measured and got a different dimension you may need to remeasure if you wanted to. But tire sizes are all made to be standard so that you can pick out the correct size and not have to worry about large difference in size.
