According to the online owner's manual for your 2010 Impala that I found on the Chevrolet website, your vehicle cannot be flat towed (please see page 5-25). Chevrolet indicates that the drivetrain components would be damaged. There is no indication from Chevrolet that installation of a lube pump will avoid this concern so until a qualified technician from Chevrolet can give you assurance that flat towing can be accomplished safely, I do not recommend anything except dolly towing.

We offer a tow dolly from Roadmaster, part # RM-2050-1, which includes electric brakes that require a brake controller like the Prodigy P2 # 90885.

Your Impala can be towed with its front wheels on the dolly. Here is the preparation procedure from page 5-26 of the manual.

Use the following procedure to dolly tow the vehicle from the front:
1. Attach the dolly to the tow vehicle following the dolly manufacturer's instructions.
2. Drive the front wheels onto the dolly.
3. Shift the transmission to P (Park).
4. Firmly set the parking brake.
5. Use an adequate clamping device designed for towing to ensure that the front wheels are locked
into the straight position.
6. Secure the vehicle to the dolly following the manufacturer's instructions.
7. Release the parking brake only after the vehicle being towed is firmly attached to the towing
vehicle.
8. Turn the ignition to LOCK/OFF and remove the key.
