Does the Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount part # D210 Reduce Tongue Weight Capacity of Hitch

Question:

Is this similar to a dual 2inch hitch receiver in that you need to reduce tongue capacity of the tow vehicle by 50? Im guess not Simone the bottom is a ball mount and not a 2inch receiver, but looking for definitive answer.

If you use only the top hitch opening of the Curt dual ball mount part # D210 with a hitch accessory the capacity is cut by 50 percent. If you use the ball mount portion of the adapter though the capacity is not cut.
