Can Thule Universal Mounting Hardware be Used with Snowpack Ski Carrier

will this hardware set work with the new thule snowpack 7326 carrier?

The universal mounting hardware # 7533998 could be used with the Thule SnowPack Ski & Snowboard Carrier including # TH7326. But I am not sure why you would want to because the Speed-Link system on the carrier is vastly superior and should fit the same if not more crossbar sizes than the universal hardware.
