Can a 5th Airborne Replace a Lippert 1621 Pin Box and be Used with Pullrite Superglide Hitch
Question:
Is the 5th Airborne Premium Fifth Wheel Air Ride Coupler - 21,000 lbs Capacity compatible with the pullrite superglide 4400 5AE-E1621-610? I currently own a Road Warrior 425 RT and the current king pin is a Lippert 1621 HD. I am looking at both the Trail air and the 5th Airborne but wanted to ensure the 5th Airborne is compatible with the pullrite superglide 4400. At the CAT scale the trailer weighted in at 18,500 lbs. We have added accessories to further increase the weight of the toy hauler. The trailer probably weighs just under 20Klbs therefore I am interested in a hitch that is rated for 21K lbs.

5th Airborne pin boxes can be used with a Pullrite Super Glide fifth wheel hitch. You will just need to find the correct capture plate to use with the new pin box. According to my research the correct one to use is the part number 88080, but we do not carry Pullrite products so you would still want to verify that.
The correct 5th Airborne to use to replace your Lippert 1621HD is the part # RP78FR.
