Will SumoSprings Provide Lift For 2016 Ram 1500

Question:

I have a 2016 Ram 1500 Crew Cad 4x2. My truck has a constant load of about 1300 pounds. I am wondering if the Sumosprings SSR-307-47 will raise my truck up? I have also looked into the Timbren TDR1500DQ. The Sumosprings is longer than the Timbren so I feel it will make contact sooner but it is rated at 1500 pounds as the Timbren is rated at 6000 pounds. Right now I have about 5 1/2 inches from the inside of the cup to the contact plate on the axel. The Timbren will just start making contact as it is only 5 1/2 inches overall so it will not raise my truck up. Will the Sumosprings be able to raise my truck up some with my present load? I also pull a trailer on occasion. I had air bags on my previous truck but they leaked so I am looking into something better. Thanks for your help, Ken

The SumoSprings, part # SSR-307-47 and the Timbren system, part # TDR1500DQ are not designed to lift the vehicle.

They are designed to help the ride of your truck when a load is placed in the bed and keep it level. These are not designed as a lift. When a load is present, it will compress the springs to create a smoother ride. If you wish to add spacers like part # A25723-90AH00 to the Timbren system you will feel the effect of the springs earlier when placed under load.
