How is Rise/Drop of B&W Tow & Stow Ball Mount Measured

Can you tell were the is measured from so that I can compare with another brand that I have borrowed, I want the same amount of . Thanks!

The rise and drop are measured from the top of the shank down to the top of the ball platform as shown in the photo I've provided for you. If the ball mount in the photo had the ball platform in the lowest available position, the drop would be 9 inches.

To determine what rise or drop you need, measure from the inside top of your hitch receiver tube to the ground. Then, measure from the underside of your trailer coupler to the ground. The difference between the two measurements is the rise or drop you need. If the receiver hitch is taller than the trailer coupler, you'll need a ball moun with a drop. If the coupler is taller than the hitch, use a ball mount with a rise. I'll link you to an FAQ that shows exactly how to do this.

The ball mount has a weight capacity up to 10,000 when the 2-5/16 inch ball is used or up to 7,500 lbs with the 2 inch ball.
