Information Needed to Add Electric Brakes to Car Hauler

Question:

I have a car transporter but its only a 2 wheel set up. What do you recomend for a 4 wheel set up to haul a car weing 1600KG ? It must be a 4 wheel set up or not and will a 4 wheel be more stable ? can i fit brakes as well and how ? Thank you. Regards

Generally speaking, a tandem axle car hauler would be much more stable than a single axle. You'll want a hauler that has a weight rating greater than the heaviest vehicle you're expecting to haul.

You can install brakes on most trailers if your existing axles have the brake mounting flange. To specify parts for you, I'd need to know the capacity of the axles, the bolt pattern of the wheels you're wanting to use and the reference numbers from your inner and outer wheel bearings.

I'll link you to an FAQ article that explains what's involved and a run-down of the parts needed to add electric brakes to a trailer.
