Should Curt TriFlex Brake Controller be Drawing 21.5 Milliamps in Standby Mode

Question:

Im getting about 21.5mA draw when in standby mode ie, once single red dot goes away. I checked it when parked for the night, engine off, and NOT connected to a trailer. Just curious if you guys have ever actually put a meter to one...it just seems a little high to me.

All modern brake controllers including the Curt TriFlex # C24VV draw a few milliamps at idle. The Curt controllers are slightly different in their circuitry and can draw a little more than other brake controllers. This power draw is normal and it would take months of the vehicle just sitting, not ever running, for it to drain a battery.
