Replacement Tires And Wheels For 5 x 8 Trailer With Wynstar Phaser 13 Inch Tire

Question:

Hi. I was wondering if you could tell me if you all have trailer tires that are comparable to the ones I currently have? The ones that I have now are WYNSTAR PHASER 23 155 R13 79 T. They have a max rating of 963 lbs and have 5 lugs. These trailer tires go on a 5 ft wide x 8 ft long trailer.

The diameter of the tires you described is about 22.76 inches, and was typically seen on cars.

The tires we offer that are closest in size to the tires you described are either 175/80-13 or 185/80-13. The diameter of a 175/80-13 tire like part # TTWTRTM1758013C is 24 inches. For a 185/80-13 tire like part # AM1ST79 which is a bias-ply tire, the outside diameter is 24.4 inches.

If you choose to go with a larger diameter tire, you will need to make sure you have the clearance. We recommend at least 3 inches clearance for a fender on a trailer.

If you are looking for a tire/wheel combo you need to make sure the bolt pattern on your wheels matches the hubs on your trailer. I have attached a helpful article that explains how to measure a wheel to determine the bolt pattern.

For a wheel/tire combo with a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern that is a 185/80-13 bias-ply tire I recommend part # AM3S331.
