Sway control was an option on the 2010 Ford F-150. If the truck has the heavy duty towing package you would have it. If you are not sure you can check. Look at the stability control interface. By pushing select/cancel button you can turn the sway control on or off. If the truck has it then it would display the sway control as on or off.
Sway control in a vehicle works differently than sway control on a trailer and is different than weight distribution. Sway control on a vehicle will help to keep a swaying trailer from affecting the vehicle ride as much while not doing a whole lot to actually stop the trailer from swaying.
Sway control on the trailer, either by itself or part of a weight distribution system, stops the trailer from swaying so it is stopping the problem at the source thus a much better option.
I recommend going with a weight distribution system that comes with sway control so you get the benefits of both. Please note that if the truck has sway control you can use both its sway control feature and trailer sway control together with no problem.
To choose a weight distribution system you will need to go by the total tongue weight of the set up. This is calculated by taking the tongue weight of the trailer, when loaded and ready to tow, and adding to that the weight of anything loaded behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. I have included some links on weight distribution, sway control, and determining tongue weight for you.
