What Are Height Dimensions Of Convert-A-Ball 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter
Question:
I am very interested in the convert a ball 5th wheel to gooseneck adapter. I know the unit has a 4inch range of adjustment, but was hoping to find the overall dimensions. My Dodge 2500 has a factory installed 2inch lift kit. I want to be sure before I purchase the unit that I can make it fit. I live in GA, and will be picking up my 5th wheel trailer in WA - so I need to be dead sure I am buying the correct converter before I drive it cross country to install on the trailer and haul home. Thanks

The height of the Convert-A-Ball -Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter, part # CAB-C5G is right at 17-1/2 inches from the bottom of the adapter to the top where it attaches to the trailer when it is fully extended to the 16 inches, so it would be about 13-1/2 when at the shortest height.
I know you said you are going to pick up your trailer but ideally you want to take a few measurements before you decide on an adapter. To find the correct height you will need to park the truck and trailer on level ground. Check to make sure you have at least 4 inches of clearance between the top of the bed sides and the bottom of the trailer. Then measure from the bottom of the pin box down to the top of the ball in the bed of your truck. This is how you can determine the height of the adapter you will need.
