Why Would a Hopkins Backup Camera Stay On a Few Seconds After Vehicle is Shut Off

Why does the Hopkins Smart Hitch camera stay on a few seconds after I turn off my 08 Silverado pickup truck? Or does this supposed to happen. Thank You Very Much PS. The Camera works very nice

The Hopkins Smart Hitch part # HM50002 will stay on as long as it has power. It sounds like the power source on your 2008 Chevy Silverado just happens to stay on a couple seconds after the vehicle gets turned off. I wouldn't worry about it though as nothing will get damaged.
