Drop Shank Recommendation for Use with the Strait Line System RP66075
Question:
Towing a 36 ft toy hauler. Looking to purchase RP66075 Reese Strait-Line weight distributing with sway control. I see RP 54977 Reese Titan weight distributing shank, trunnions only with a 5 3/4 inch drop. I need more of a drop as my truck is lifted 4 inches. What are the part numbers of shanks that work on the trunnion system that allow for more ? Thanks, Ralph

Expert Reply:
The Strait-Line Weight Distribution # RP66075 does not come with a shank so you would be able to go with a shank that has more drop like you would need.
The part # RP3344 is a shank that would work with that system and can do up to 7-5/8 inches of drop so it should work well for you.
To determine exactly how much drop you would need you will need to check out the help article I attached that covers all of that.
For a hitch ball with a 20k capacity you would then want the part # 63840.
