How to Determine if the Titan Disc Brake Kit # T4843300 will Fit a Trailer

Question:

I currently have a 1992 Trail Rite boat trailer, dual axle, hydraulic single axle drum brakes. My boat and trailer weigh ~350lbs. To do a disc brake, electric lock out swap, I am looking at T4843300. Is this my bet? Will it work? Is there anything needed? I would also like to switch it to swing-away.

To determine if the Titan Disc Brake Kit # T4843300 that you referenced would work on your trailer will require you to remove one of the hubs on your trailer currently so that we can figure out what spindle you have. You will need to get the bearing numbers out of the hub or use a caliper to get exact dimensions of the spindle to determine what you have.

If the bearings of your hub are # L68149 and # L44649 then this kit will fit. You will need to make sure that your trailer wheels have 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern as well.

Does this kit include the line from the actuator to the t-splitter, or do I have to fab that myself? My trailer had hydraulic single axle drum brakes, using plastic lines, are these lines stainless? Do you have a stainless kit for saltwater applications?

The kit # T4843300 is not going to have stainless steel lines. They are going to be standard steel lines with a zinc coating on them. What I would recommend is picking up # 18SI-BLKIT. It is going to be a replacement rubber brake line kit. You will not have issues with rust in this case.
