Length of the Shank of the Au-Tomotive Gold Hitch Covers for 1-1/4 inch Hitch
Question:
How long is the neck on the cap. I intend to mount on rear valance on 2008 Buick Lacross. Rear entryway HAD TO BE CUT OUT FOR MMOUNT TO SLIDE IN. wILL THIS BE LONG ENOUGH TO MOUNT THEN COVER CUT OUT PART?

I went out and grabbed a Buick Trailer Hitch Cover # AUT2-BUI-C from our warehouse to grab the dimensions you are looking for. I found that the overall length of the insert is 3-1/16 inches. I also got the distance from the center of the rear most pin hole to the back of the face of the cover as well.
