Tube Step Fit for 1998 Jeep Wrangler
Question:
We have a 1998 Jeep Wrangler Sport and the factory step is high for my wife to step up and into Jeep. I have ordered some grab handles but looking ahead if this is not enough. Which step would fit our 1998 Wrangler? I understand that the factory step would have to come off. Thanks.

The Carr Custom-Fit Side Steps, Hoop II # CARR102551 that you referenced are confirmed to fit the 1998 Jeep Wrangler and will work well for you. These steps have a drop of 5 inches and have a step width of 7 inches.
For a step with a 6 inch drop, you can use the Carr Custom-Fit Side Steps, Super Hoop # CARR120551. These steps are wider than the Hoop II, measuring 17 inches wide at the step. The Super Hoop steps will provide a more rugged look than traditional tube steps and running boards.
I have attached a link to all of the steps and running boards that we offer that are confirmed to fit your 1998 Jeep Wrangler.
