How to Pick Out Replacement Cable Length for Trailer Torsion Ramp Spring
Question:
How do you figure out what length of cables I need for a 6x12 enclosed trailer with a rear ramp the spring is there and works but when I purchased it it needed cables
asked by: Richard
Expert Reply:
You would want to measure from the bottom of the ramp door all the way up to the spring above the door frame when it is open to determine the minimum length cable you would need for your spring.
We do offer cables alone for enclosed trailer ramp torsion springs. Part # CAB1-8CB150 is a pair of 150-inch cables.
The installation instructions for this product are recommended for individuals who have experience winding torsion springs. If you have not worked with a torsion spring system before, we recommend contacting a local garage door company to install this system.
