Oil and Transmission Cooler Recommendation for a 2004 Ford F-150 4.6 Liter
Question:
i was interested in knowing if this particular cooler D15902 would work for my 2004 f150 4.6 stx screw cab and what other items will be needed to complete the job . if not what would u recommend. i tow a 26ft ultra light travel trailer that weighs 3600# and im interested in buying a little heavier trailer 5000#. i want to do what i can to ensure i protect my truck.

The Derale Combination Transmission and Engine Oil Cooler with Multiple Threads # D15902 will fit your 2004 Ford F-150 with a 4.6 liter engine and comes with everything you would need. This will greatly help reduce the engine oil and transmission fluid temperature so we would recommend it for you.
I looked up the threads of your oil filter and they match one of the adapters that comes with this kit. The adapter you would need to use is the 3/4-16 threaded adapter.
I attached an install video for this that shows it being installed on a different vehicle, but the process will be basically the same for your truck.
