When installing a fifth wheel hitch with a universal rail kit like with what comes with the # PS30128 you will want to place the rails so that the center of the fifth wheel jaw is right above or slightly forward of the rear axle.

For your truck it is recommended to have it 3-1/2 inches forward of the rear axle.

To do this you will measure 34-7/8 inches from the rear edge of the truck bed. That is where the rear edge of the rear rail will be. You will use the hitch then to place the front rail.
