Brekaway System Recommendation for Use with a Dexter Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator  

Question:

I think I have figured out most of the parts needed to convert my Montana 2955 from drum to disc but not sure if I can use the existing break away switch on the 5th wheel or not. Is there a difference between the stock break away switch on the Montana and say the Dexteror equalbrake disconnect unit? Once I get this question solved Ill place my order for all the parts, going with Kodiak K2HR712E. Thanks,

The breakaway kit that would be on a drum brake setup is different than what would be needed with a Dexter Electric Over Hydraulic setup # K71-651.

The correct breakaway you would need is the part # 34-285 which is designed for use with the Dexter actuator.
