Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2016 Mazda CX-5 for Use with Thule Bike Rack

I have a brand new 2016 Mazda CX5. I only plan to use my 2inch receiver, 10 year old Thule 4 bike rack and a folding cargo carrier.. Is the Draw-Tite #75217 the one I need. I want to install the hitch myself. What does it mean by lowering the exhaust?

Yes, the Draw-Tite part # 76138 that you referenced has been confirmed as a fit for your 2016 Mazda CX-5 and would be a great hitch to use your 4 bike Thule rack with.

Lowering the exhaust means that the rubber exhaust hangers are temporarily removed so that the exhaust can pivot down slightly to allow the hitch to fit past the exhaust and install. If you check out the install video link I provided you will see how this is done and how the hitch is installed.
