Recommended Replacement 7-Way Connector For 2001 Chevrolet 1500
Question:
I have accidentally cut off my tow plug on my 2001 Chevy 1500 and want to replace it but I need to know what each wife is responsible for so I can match the wires with my new harness.

I have attached a chart that shows the typical wiring for a 7-way connector you can check out. I have also attached a link to a helpful article that explains wiring.
You can check the wires on your truck with a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to make sure you get them attached correctly.
The Pollak Replacement 7-Pole, RV-Style Trailer Connector Socket, part # PK11893 will work well for your 2001 truck.
