Troubleshooting OL Code on Brake Controller When Trailer Is Moving But Not When Stopped
Question:
My controller flashes OL while Im braking. But when the truck and trailer come to a stop it stops. Then it shows the number I have it set on. I have a Silverado 2002 and a draw tight 4

The OL code for the Draw Tite Activator part # 5504 indicates a short on the brake output circuit. Since this is a time-delayed controller and the amount of braking would stay constant when at a stop and when moving this leads me to believe the problem is just exposed wires that are making contact when the vehicle is stopping and then when it comes to a complete stop the wires move again and stop touching each other.
Or, it's bad trailer magnets and when the hubs stopping moving against the magnets the OL code stops.
