Will the Prodigy RF Brake Controller Work on a Chevy Silverado
Question:
Hello, question, installing this unit in a Chevy Silverado, am I going to have a problem pairing the remote to the actuator...? Also the 7 wire cable of the controller plugs into my 7 wire flat tip connector. Where do I hook my trailer lights up to. It appears that the 7wire cable goes into the controller. Are there wiring connections in the controller for lights..? Am I missing something here? Thanks

The Tekonsha Prodigy RF brake controller # TK94FR does not usually have any problems pairing with domestic trucks (Ford, Chevy, Dodge) that have a functioning 7-Way trailer connector. The problem usually is found with European automakers, particularly German vehicles.
As you said the RF plugs into the truck's 7-Way connector. The trailer plugs into the back of the RF unit. There is a vehicle side 7-Way mounted on the back of the RF. The lighting functions pass through the RF to the trailer 7-Way. The RF only uses the 12 volt circuit and the brake light signal coming through the 7-Way.
I have linked a video showing an example installation for you.
