How to Activate Reverse Light Circuit Pin on of 7-Way For Trailer Reverse Lights
Question:
Hi, the video has them cutting the center wire off. I need it for reverse lights on my trailer. Not sure how to wire it to get that one hot when the van is in reverse. Any ideas? 2012 Chevrolet Express 12-passenger SWB van without factory trailer wiring package. Thanks!

Not every vehicle requires the reverse light circuit active on the trailer wiring so that is why in the video you referenced it was cut off. To activate this circuit you would instead need to run the purple wire up and tap it into the reverse light circuit of the taillight harness of your vehicle.
I attached an install video that shows a similar product being installed that does this for you to check out.
